One of the Most Amazing Weddings at Sandals South Coast in 2019
Our most recent visit to Sandals South Coast was one of the most amazing experiences yet! It wasn’t just all oceanfront rooms or the wide, sandy beach with enough room for everyone to feel like they are isolated on a private beach. Nope, it was a gorgeous sundown wedding that I was able to watch from the shore. I wish I could show you a picture of the bride, but that is her story to share, not mine. I can tell you that she was magnificent and it was like watching a fairy tale unfold right before your eyes. Let me explain…
We arrived mid-afternoon and walked along the beach to relax after the flight. The two arches along the boardwalk to the over-the-water-chapel were wrapped in peach with crystal chandeliers hanging from the center.
Although we noted the dark clouds moving across the afternoon sky and hoped that the rain would hold off long enough for this couple to exchange their vows in the sunlight! The chapel actually sparkled above the water and it was then that we saw crystals adorning it. Soon the wedding staff, photographers, and musical instruments began to arrive. I am always amazed at how attentive to detail the wedding coordinators are. Everything was beyond perfect. The chapel began to fill and a buzz of excitement ran up and down the beach. Knowing that center aisle of the church is glass, I understood how much those people were in awe of that tiny little church.
The music rang out marking the beginning of the procession. Six gorgeous young women in peach gown made their way to the chapel and finally the bride appeared with her dad. It was then that we understood the reason for all the crystals decorating her venue. Everything sparkled! Her gown, veil, train, and bouquet were covered in shiny crystals that shimmered in the sunlight. Nevermind worrying that you can’t wear heels at a beach wedding. This bride’s gorgeous Louboutin heels made it across the sand and up the boardwalk.
We were lucky to see the beautiful couple return for photos and here is just a teaser of one moment we got from behind.
We wandered over to Neptunes for dinner and watched the sunset from Latitudes, Sandals over-the-water-bar! What a day!
