Sandals Foundation Flanker Resource Center celebration of re opening

Sandals Royal Caribbean, Sandals Montego Bay and Sandals Carlyle resorts support the Sandals Foundation programs and projects in the Montego Bay area.  Unlike foundations around the world, all administrative costs are paid for by Sandals Resorts International so that 100% of every dollar donated, goes directly to the needs of the community.   The Sandals Experts @ Premium Resorts are proud members of the Sandals Foundation TAG (travel agents giveback)  We helped build the newly-refurbished Flanker Resource Center by raising money, purchasing Sandals Foundation Bricks and Packing for a purpose.

At the opening of the newly-refurbished building on September 2, Executive Director of the Flanker Resource Centre (formerly known as the Flanker Peace and Justice Centre), Marilyn Nash, fondly recalled when Gordon ‘Butch’ Stewart, Chairman of Sandals Resorts International, told her those items would better serve a completed building

This helped the center grow, having once been in a small building that housed the community daycare facility. For eleven years, the community center has offered conflict resolution, skills-training, and extra-curricular activities for more than 3,500 residents.

The people of the Flanker community, and myself extend much gratitude to the Sandals Foundation for its continuous support throughout the years and are grateful for building a facility that the community can be proud of,” Nash told the gathering of community members and well-wishers who attended the opening ceremony on September 2, 2013.
